New for 2017
  • An additional entrance to the White Walk from the Upper Pond
  • This new part of the White Walk, plus the first 350 metres of the River Walk, which both skirt the maize field, have a hard surface to minimize it being muddy when wet!
  • The kitchen in the Bluebell Barn is now enlarged to help Charites with their catering arrangements.
  • See the new welcome sign outside the farm describing what is on offer for our visitors.
  • The existing coloured signs around Beatons Wood have been replaced by re-designed panels describing the flora and fauna that might be seen.
  • We now use metal hoops to guide our visitors around the Blue Walk in Beatons Wood, which hopefully will also dissuade photographers walking into the bluebells to get that perfect shot!
  • An enlarged print from the Bluebell Walk is now in the ‘Gents’, to compliment the one we put in the ‘Ladies’ last year!
  • We have planted young trees in the spaces made where we coppiced last year, also increased the planting of holly around the Memorial Glade to give added seclusion.
  • The Publicity Leaflet explains how we want to hire out the Bluebell Barn throughout the year, but first it must be fully insulated and heated. This major undertaking is dependent of obtaining the necessary planning permission.
