Increasing the Daffodils in the Millenium Avenue
The bulbs of the Wild Daffodils (Narcissus pseudonarcissus) have become congested in areas on both sides of the Millennium Avenue. This will lead to reduced flowering or even ‘blind’ plants if left unchecked. So, a compelling task this autumn is to replant the hundreds of surplus bulbs, to create a denser sward of yellow when they are in full bloom during March.

Changes ready for the 2024 Arlington Bluebell Walk
We are extending the Bluebell Kitchen, to give more room for charities to work in preparing food when busy. Also, we are isolating the dishwashers into a separate room in the interests of hygiene. To assist the Duty Charity and customers, restaurant pagers are being introduced when food is ordered, so a collection hatch is being created.

The Arlington Church Plant Stall will move from the Bluebell Barn to what was the Animal Barn. This means the Pygmy Goats and Kerry Hill Sheep and lambs will have their new home in the building adjacent to the Gate House. Creating more room in the Bluebell Barn means we can speed up the movement of the queue, by separating those waiting for ordered food and not then holding up those who just want cake and a drink.
