It is wonderful to have this dramatic change in the weather, forecasting warm and sunny days leading to the closing date of this year’s Bluebell Walk being Sunday 8 May at 5.00pm. We end on a high as, due to the constant cold weather in these past few weeks which has held the bluebells, they are now looking their best with many visitors commenting on their unique scent as they enter Beatons Wood. The two images show the effect of the early morning sunshine changing their colour to mauve, yet out of the sun one can admire that lovely blue.
Here visitors are enjoying the Sun Terrace, which has been much used this week!
Being able to browse in the second hand book room with such a wide range of books, so effectively run by Action for Medical Research, is an added bonus when you visit the Bluebell Walk.
Next Friday I can give a summary of the highs and lows of the 2016 Arlington Bluebell Walk, thank the charities who have all worked so hard and we can then have a good rest, before starting to plan for 2017!
