Since the Bluebell Walk finished it seems to have been a never ending battle with the cleavers in the wood before they take hold, and then being ready to welcome visitors to the garden every Wednesday. I am heartened with the positive response from our visitors, and with the added opportunity to share Beatons Wood outside the bluebell season, this is an interesting new adventure we are on.
Although the garden is open most Wednesdays, we will not be able to open on 14th and 21st July due to essential work on the Bluebell Barn to make it accessible throughout the year.
When you visit the garden, for a limited time, and when the weather permits, you can also walk through our 6-acre wild flower meadow. A path has been mown around the meadow but in August the entire meadow will be cut for hay.
As a taste of how Beatons Wood looks now you can follow this link for a preview of the 5th video in our ’bluebell’ series. We will post this on the website shortly.
You can also see the other videos in the series on our YouTube channel, or you can search for ’Arlington Bluebell Walk’ on YouTube if you prefer not to click the link.
