1.

Entries are to be submitted online at www.bluebellwalk.co.uk . You will first need to create an account. Then you can upload your entries via the MY ACCOUNT option in the top menu. Images must be no more than 5Mb file size and no more than 5000 pixels in height and width. If you need to resize your image you can use many software applications and mobile apps including built-in Paint 3D (Windows) and Preview (Mac). Note, in some circumstances you may need to reduce the dimensions further until the upload is accepted by the software. All entries must be received by 1^st November 2024.
You may amend your entries at any time prior to the deadline.

2.

Any image showing that a person or persons are off the designated paths or amongst the bluebells in Beatons Wood, or on the flowerbeds of Bates Green Garden will be disqualified.

3.

There is no entry fee for the competition, which is open to all who have paid to visit the Arlington Bluebell Walk and / or Bates Green Garden in 2024.

4.

Prizes in the Adult class for categories A, B, C, D and E will be £20 for the first placed image and £10 for the second placed image in each category. The judges at their discretion may also award highly commended certificates, the prize being a voucher giving one person a free entry to the 2025 Bluebell Walk or garden.  All winners will receive a Certificate featuring their image.

5.

Prizes for both the first and second placed images in the Junior class will be a 2025 Family Ticket to the Bluebell Walk or equivalent for the garden.  If the judges at their discretion also award any highly commended certificates, the prize is a free entry for one adult & one child to the 2025 Bluebell Walk or Garden.

6.

One or more entries, which might or might not be winning images, may be chosen to be featured in our 2025 publicity and be awarded an additional £20 prize.

7.

The judges are two members of the Hailsham Photographic Society, our online media manager and John McCutchan.  Images will be judged on composition, visual appeal, technical ability, presentation and subject matter. If an image in the view of the judges is in the wrong category, it will be changed.  Prize winners will receive notification by 1st December.  Their certificates and prizes soon after. Winning images will also be published on our websites.

We cannot accept responsibility for entries that fail to be uploaded or are unreadable for any reason.

9.

The copyright of any image remains with the photographer, although by entering the competition you authorise the Arlington Bluebell Walk & Bates Green Garden to use your image(s) adjusted as necessary, for any publicity or for the promotional purposes of the Arlington Bluebell Walk & Bates Green Garden. Any images used will be attributed to the photographer and no other use will be made of any image submitted without the photographer’s consent. Any information provided in respect of this competition will remain confidential to the Arlington Bluebell Walk & Bates Green Garden and will not be made available to any third party without consent.

10.

All entries must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe the rights of any other party. The entrants must be the sole owner of copyright in all photographs entered and must have obtained permission of any people featured in the entries or their parents/guardians if children under 16 are featured.

11.

Whilst the Arlington Bluebell Walk & Bates Green Garden make every effort to ensure that the publication of images is to the highest standard, we are unable to guarantee the quality of reproduction when shown on our websites.

The judges’ decision is final.

By entering our competitions you are deemed to have read and agreed with these Rules and Terms & Conditions. Arlington Bluebell Walk & Bates Green Garden reserve the right to cancel or amend the Competition or the Rules and Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.

14.
