Booking Terms & Conditions

Relating to Arlington Bluebell Walk and Bates Green Garden

Welcome

Currently there is no advance booking required to visit the Bluebell Walk and Farm Trails, which are open daily during March and April (exact dates vary).

Bookings for Bates Green Garden are open from February to October. The garden is open on Wednesdays with optional access to Beatons Wood.

 

COVID-19

Please do not book a visit if you or anyone in your party, or anyone in your households/bubbles, are unwell or may be suffering with any symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in close contact with anyone suffering with COVID-19 or symptoms of COVID-19. Please adhere to government guidelines. Anyone failing to comply will be asked to leave.

 

Tickets

All visitors to Bates Green Garden (outside the Bluebell season) must book a ticket in advance.

Please book one ticket per person, including children (aged 3 – 16 years). The ticket is valid for entry any time between 10am and 4pm on the day of your visit.

Paid carers have free access with the person they care for, but email info@bluebellwalk.co.uk at the time of booking to ensure this has been noted.

If you arrive without pre-booking, your entry will be at the discretion of our welcome team and will be based on current visitor numbers and the ability to maintain physical distancing.

We will send your booking confirmation by email. Please make sure you fill in your correct email address when you book to ensure you receive this confirmation. Printed tickets, or tickets displayed on a mobile device, are required on arrival (if you have not been able to print your ticket or are unable to present your ticket on your mobile device, please bring your booking reference, name and postcode so that we can confirm your booking).

Tickets cannot be exchanged once booked, they are non-refundable, non-transferable and not for resale.

If for any reason we must close and /or cancel an event, we may offer replacement tickets for an alternative day or, at our discretion, a full refund.

If for any reason in these Terms and Conditions we refuse to accept a ticket, it is also non-refundable.

 

Cancellations

Tickets are valid only for the date they are booked and cannot be transferred to another date.

We cannot refund tickets for the reason of adverse weather conditions. Refunds will only be considered in exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of the Bluebell Walk Management.

If you cannot attend due to contracting COVID-19 or having to self-isolate because of COVID-19, you can request to transfer your booking to an alternative date. To do this please email info@bluebellwalk.co.uk and include your booking reference in the email title together with proof of your diagnosis or requirement to isolate.

The Bluebell Walk Management is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

This Policy explains when and why we collect personal information about people who visit our website, how we use it, the conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.

How do we collect information from you?

We obtain information about you when you use our websites (www.bluebellwalk.co.uk and www.batesgreengarden.co.uk), for example, when you register to receive our newsletter or create an account (for entering competitions and/or booking tickets). We also obtain information that you provide via comments cards during your visit, quizzes and competition entries.

 

What type of information is collected from you?

The personal information we collect might include your name, address, email address, IP address, and information regarding what pages are accessed and when.

 

How is your information used?

We may use your information to:

  • deal with entries in a competition.
  • seek your views or comments on the services we provide.
  • send you communications which you have requested and that may be of interest to you.
  • pass to the payment provider when you book tickets.

We review our retention periods for personal information on a regular basis. We are legally required to hold some types of information to fulfil our statutory obligations. We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary for the relevant activity, or as long as is set out in any relevant contract you hold with us.

 

Who has access to your information?

We will not sell or rent your information to third parties.

Third Party Service Providers working on our behalf: We may pass your information to our third party service providers, agents, subcontractors and other associated organisations for the purposes of completing tasks and providing services to you on our behalf (for example to send you mailings). However, when we use third party service providers, we disclose only the personal information that is necessary to deliver the service and we have a contract in place that requires them to keep your information secure and not to use it for their own direct marketing purposes. Please be reassured that we will not release your information to third parties beyond the Bluebell Walk Management for them to use for their own direct marketing purposes, unless you have requested us to do so, or we are required to do so by law, for example, by a court order or for the purposes of prevention of fraud or other crime.

You have a choice about whether or not you wish to receive information from us. If you do not want to receive newsletters from us about the work on maintaining the bluebell wood and various walks and of the status of the bluebells during open season, then you can leave un-ticked the relevant box situated on the form on which we collect your information.

We will not contact you for marketing purposes by email, phone or text message unless you have given your prior consent. We will not contact you for marketing purposes by post [if you have indicated that you do not wish to be contacted]. How you can access and update your information

The accuracy of your information is important to us. We are working on ways to make it easier for you to review and correct the information that we hold about you. Any sensitive information (such as credit or debit card details) is encrypted and protected with the following software 128 Bit encryption on SSL. When you are on a secure page, a lock icon will appear on the bottom of web browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Non-sensitive details (your email address etc.) are transmitted normally over the Internet, and this can never be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk.
