Hi all,
my name is Sarah and I run The Laurel at Bates Green - a cafe and gift shop running in collaboration with John and the team at Bates Green Garden!

The cafe, which was opened by the Mayor of Hailsham on 26 February, is an extension of my other cafe, the Laurel in Hailsham and we offer a selection of hot and cold drinks, cooked breakfasts, brunch, such as eggs benedict, thick cut sandwiches, jacket potatoes and our popular traditional pie, mash and liquor. We also have a counter full of homemade cakes and scones, catering for vegan and gluten free visitors as well.
We have a large selection of local crafts and gifts for sale, a range of the bird feeds you can see in the garden feeders and on the live bird cam and a stock of our own homemade jams and chutneys!

We offer a bookable package of entry to the garden and woods, lunch of a choice of sandwich or jacket potato, cake and hot drink for £25, saving up to £2.60! Gift vouchers are also available.
This Mother’s Day, we are offering a special package for Mum to include entrance to the gardens and woods, lunch and a posy of flowers! Alternatively, we are making tea boxes to give Mum instead which you can collect.
Keep an eye on our Facebook page for news as it happens!
