An addition to the third weekly Report posted on 20th April
I had no idea that this unusually hot weather would have such an impact on how quickly the bluebells are emerging in the past 48 hours, hence this interim report.
This photo illustrates the blue haze that meets one’s eyes on entering Beatons Wood, as in these areas the white wood anemones are fast dying down, allowing the bluebells to dominate. If this hot weather continues, then by next weekend I doubt whether there will be many white wood anemones showing.
