What a fantastic week it has been with many days that were so hot and sunny, which coupled with the Easter Weekend, not only encouraged a multitude of visitors to come, but encouraged the bluebells to burst forth towards their full glory!
I estimate that during the coming week we will see them covering the whole wood to create these vistas...
...and on still days you may experience their unique fragrance. Because the wood is undulating, some areas are waiting to catch up, as can be seen by these remaining white wood anemones.
This prolonged period without rain is getting serious for farmers and wildlife, as I have never seen the Lower Pond so low during the Bluebell Walk period.
My next Report will appear on our website on Friday 3rd May.

Annual visit/AndyL
Thank you for another wonderful sensory day in the Wood. Thank you too for supplying the mobility scooters making it possible to reach the serenity of the memorial garden.
